Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Arrival Leh by morning flight and transfer to the hotel. After welcome drink take a complete rest for acclimatization to the height altitude of Leh (3500 meters). In the late afternoon drive to the city for an orientation walk in the markets‚ followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa‚ Leh palace. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 02: Leh Sightseeing

After breakfast full day excursion to Thiksey Monastery (16 Kms), Hemis Monastery (45 Kms) which is one of the biggest in this region. While returning to Leh visit Shey Palace (12 Kms). Later on the way to Leh, visit to Sindhu Ghat for Sindhu Darshan, In the evening return to the hotel for dinner, overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Leh - Nubra (125 kms / approx. 5-6 hours)

After an early breakfast ,drive to beautiful NubraValley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft) with the zig zag trail continues and drive till Hundar village. On arrival check in Nature's nest North camp. Afternoon enjoy the beauty of sand dune and double hump camel. Overnight at Camp or hotel

Day 04: Turtuk Excursion

Early morning drive to TurTuk village with drive landscape, Exotic village. Turtuk this village is about 115 kms from Nubra valley and can take about 3 to 4 hours to reach here, the total population of Turtuk is just 4000 and follow islam as about 40 years back this village was under Pakistan and speak Baltistan language, explore this beautiful village and explore the life here, we will go for a walk around the village and also meet the people. Later Come back to Hundervillag. Overnight at the camps or Hotel.

Day 05: Nubra Valley - Pangong Lake (170 kms / approx. 7 hours)

Today , we get up early morning visit to Diskit monastery and have wonderful view of Nubra valley. Later drive to Pangong Lake via Shayok. Enjoy the turquoise color panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes which will leave you awestruck . Overnight at Hotel/ Camp. 

Day 06: Pangong – Hanle (310 kms / approx. 6-7 hours)

After a late breakfast , we stroll in and around lake and watch the mother nature soothes you .Later drive back to Hanle via Tsagala Pass. Hanle in changthang region of Ladakh is one of the most beautifullynchanting,calm and soul loosing places in India. Hanle has a lovely hanle monastery offering some great aerial views of whole village that is a home of about 1000 people. Hanle monastery is a 17th century monastery of the Drukpa lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. - Monastey is home to about 60 monks. The main monastery, one of the largest and best known of ladakh’s monasteries, was built under the protange of the kind singeenamgyal. The views from the top of monastery are just breath taking. Hanle is also house an Indian astronomical observatory which is the world highest observatory in the world at a staggering height of 4500 mtrs. Overnight in guest house/ hotel.

Day 07: Umlingla Excursion (30 kms / approx. 1 hours / one way)

After Breakfast at the hotel and Start the journey in the morning. Today’s challenge is to cover the Highest mountain pass Umling La located at an altitude of 19300 feet above sea level. Umling La is the world’s highest mountain pass recently opened for tourist. The route is less travelled and very scenic and confusing as there are hardly any markers for roads. Later after the photoshoot, after sightseeing, I returned back to Hanle. Overnight in guest house/ hotel

Day 08: Hanle to Tsomori (70 kms / approx. 1.5 hours)

After breakfast leave for Tsomoriri Lake (14,000 ft),3-4 hrs one way drive on the way visiting Nyoma-Mahe bridge. Tsomoriri Lake is breeding grounds for numerous species of birds and other wildlife , chief among them are the bar headed goose, found in great numbers, crested grebe, the Brahmini duck (ruddy sheldrake) and the brown headed gull, Wild ass , Tibetan mastiff , and many more .The Lake is 8 Kms. Wide and 28 Kms long with colors and shades of nature overwhelming you .Overnight in tents.

Day 09: Tsomori – Leh (154 kms / approx. 4 hours)

After breakfast drive back to Leh visiting PugaSulphur Mine, Tsokar Lake and through Taklang La Pass (17585 ft) second highest motorable road in the world.Evening free to explore the local markets of Leh. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Leh

Day 10: Departure from Leh

After an early breakfast, depart to airport for onward destination ….fly with sweet memories of Ladakh.
