Visakhapatnam: A Coastal Gem of India
Visakhapatnam, often referred to as Vizag, is a thriving coastal city in Andhra Pradesh, renowned for its rich cultural heritage, scenic landscapes, and robust economic growth. Strategically located along the eastern coastline, it serves as a vital port city with significant contributions to India’s maritime trade. The city’s economy is bolstered by diverse industries, including shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals, and information technology, positioning it as a key player in the nation’s industrial landscape.
Culturally, Visakhapatnam is a melting pot of traditions, with a vibrant arts scene that encompasses classical dance forms like Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, as well as a rich musical heritage rooted in Carnatic music. The city celebrates numerous festivals, such as the Visakha Utsav and Chandanotsavam, which showcase its deep-rooted cultural practices and communal harmony.
The city’s natural beauty is equally captivating, with picturesque beaches like Rushikonda and Yarada, lush hilltop parks such as Kailasagiri, and serene spots like Tenneti Park offering panoramic views of the Bay of Bengal. These locales not only provide recreational spaces for residents and visitors but also contribute to the city’s appeal as a tourist destination.

On arrive at Port Blair airport, our representative will receive and escorted to the hotel. After check-in at the hotel and little relax, we proceed to covers Cellular Jail (National Memorial), and after at evening, we move for the Light and Sound Show at Cellular Jail where the saga of the freedom struggle brought alive.
After breakfast or packed breakfast, we travel towards Havelock Island via ferry from Port Blair Harbour. On arrival at Havelock Island, our representative will receive and escort you to check-in to the resort. Later we proceed to Radha Nagar Beach (Beach No. 7), the Times Magazine rated the finest beach among the best beaches in Asia. It is an ideal place for swimming, sea bathing and basking on the sun kissed beach.
After breakfast, we will proceed to the most memorable snorkeling trip to Elephant Beach, just 40 min by Boat. This beach offers snorkelers calm blue crystal clear shallow waters and is the perfect spot for beginner snorkelers. The boat goes right up to the beach and it’s so easy to slip on your gear and just start snorkeling. It’s also a great place to just spend the day lying on the beach and relaxing. The beach is very scenic with fallen trees and white sand giving the photographer some interesting shots. The reef here starts very close to shore at depth of about 1 metre. The large reef is mostly made up of hard coral and has plenty of marine life. (Note-This trip is subject to weather conditions and visibility). Overnight at the hotel.
Today after breakfast, we start our return journey to Port Blair
Check out from the hotel and head to the airport for your journey back home, with memories of the mesmerizing Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
