Just a short drive away lies the spectacular Yumthang Valley, often referred to as the “Valley of Flowers”. At an altitude of 11,800 feet, this pristine valley is home to hot springs, alpine meadows, and colorful rhododendron blooms during spring. In winter, Yumthang transforms into a snowy wonderland, perfect for travelers seeking a quiet Himalayan escape.

Continue your journey to Gangtok, the vibrant capital of Sikkim. Known for its Buddhist monasteries, lively markets, and panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, Gangtok beautifully blends culture and nature. Don’t miss attractions like the Rumtek Monastery, MG Marg, and Tsomgo Lake.

Finally, head to Darjeeling, the “Queen of the Hills.” Famed for its tea gardens, colonial charm, and the UNESCO-listed Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, this hill station offers stunning sunrises over Kanchenjunga, especially from Tiger Hill.

Itinerary

Day 01 – Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri – Gangtok (115 kms / approx. 4.5 hours)

Welcome on arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and transfer to Gangtok, At an altitude of 5500ft Gangtok is the capital of the state of Sikkim is a beautiful and clean town promising of the best monasteries and landscapes. Evening free for individual activity and leisure, overnight at hotel.

Day 02 – Darjeeling Local Sightseeing

After breakfast at hotel set out to visit Ghoom Monastery; Batashia Loop War Memorial; Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tea Estate & Japanese Peace Pagoda. By walk visit the mall road and local market (Closed on Thursday) in the evening.
Note: - Tiger Hill Visit is subject to availability of permit on the previous evening. As per new regulations a limited number of vehicles are issued the permit. Since we cannot confirm the same in advance – this visit can be done on direct payment

Day 03 – Dargeeling – Gangtok (105 kms / approx. 4 hours)

Morning transfer to Gangtok. At an altitude of 5500ft Gangtok is the capital of the state of Sikkim. It is a beautiful and clean town promising of the best monasteries and landscapes. Evening free for individual activity and leisure, overnight at hotel.

Day 04 – Excursion Trio to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

AM start for a day trip to Tsomgo lake (12400ft), which is only 32kms from Gangtok City, the lake is almost about 1Km long, oval in shape and 15 mtrs deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people, further 12Kms visit Baba Mandir dedicated to the memory of the soldier Harbhajan Singh. Evening free at Gangtok for shopping and individual activity.

Day 05 – Gangtok - Lachung (120 kms / approx. 5 hours)

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Lachung, en-route sightseeing at Singhik View point, Chumthang Market, Twin Falls and Vima Falls .Evening free to explore the beautiful Himalayan village on your own. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06 – Lachung – Yumthang - Lachung

Early morning after breakfast start for half day excursion trip to Yumthang Valley, en-route visit Hot Spring and Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. Some photographs of the natural scenes of Switzerland and Yumthang valley are very hard to distinguish. Yumthang, which is at an altitude of 12,000 ft., is situated about 135 km from Gangtok. April and May promises colorful flowers & Orchids, where as November end to March usually sees snows Transfer back to Lachung for Lunch followed by visit to Lachung Monastery. Evening at leisure, overnight at Hote

Day 07 – Lachung – Gangtok (120 kms / approx. 4 hours)

Morning after breakfast transfer to Gangtok. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08 – Gangtok – Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri

Morning Transfer to Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station

      • Please carefully note the opening and closing days of each of the sightseeing points given in the itinerary.
      • Most of the 7 sightseeing points in Darjeeling are closed on Thursdays, Forests are also closed on Thursdays, In
        Gangtok, Institute of Tibetology Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms are closed on Sundays.
      • Nathula Pass is closed on Mondays and Tuesday and is subject to the availability of permits from the army
      • Peak Period surcharge will be applicable for booking on public holidays, festivals, exhibitions and long weekends.
      • Guest need to carry valid ID proof to obtain special permits required for sightseeing.
      • Hotels are very strict with the child policy. Please carry the age proof so that it can be produced when asked for
      • Toy train tickets & Cable car tickets are subject to availability & days of operations.
      • This Package is valid from 01st April 2025 to 30th September 2025

      Important points to note:

    • In case of any diversion due to landslide/road block any additional cost incurred with be payable directly by the guest.
    • Vehicle will be provided as per itinerary (point to point basis, and no disposal).
    • In this sector the same vehicle – irrespective of the vehicle type is not allowed to do the entire tour due to various restrictions at each destinations. Vehicles will be changed and our executives will keep the guests informed about the
      same.
    • Please ask the guest to carry valid ID proof (PAN Card /Aadhar Card not acceptable) and 4 copy passport size photograph for Tsomgo Lake/Baba Mandir Visit. These excursions are subject to road and weather conditions. Once the permits have been issued in case you are unable to reach the points because of a landslide/roadblock / snowfall, there will be no refund applicable.
    • A few sightseeing places are closed on particular days of the week in every destination. While routing the program a few points may be closed on particular days of sightseeing in which case alternate open points in the city will be covered but it will not be possible to cover those closed points on next day.
    • Tiger Hill in Darjeeling cannot be guaranteed as there is a limitation on the total number of vehicles permitted to visit every day, in case the visit cannot be done early in the morning, the point will be visited anytime during the day.
    • Ac will be switched off while travelling to uphill for the vehicle to function properly.
    • Visiting Tiger Hill requires obtaining a special permit in advance, which can be obtained by informing the concerned authorities. In case the guest decides not to visit, the permit must be returned along with a written statement by 09:30-10:00am, stating the reason for not visiting. The driver for sightseeing may arrive a little late due to this process. If theguest chooses to visit Tiger Hill in the morning, they will not be able to visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop due to traffic regulations. However, guests have the option of visiting Tiger Hill during the day and can also visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop if they choose to do so.
